Regus supports flexible workers with two new business centres in Sheffield

New city centre location already open; and Regus Express planned for Meadowhall Shopping Centre later this year

Regus, the global workspace provider, has opened a business centre at The Balance in Sheffield’s city centre, marking its 20th centre in Yorkshire. Close to West Street, City Hall and Cathedral tram stations, the new Regus centre is a convenient place to touch down, meet, co-work or base a business.

Later this summer, Regus will also launch a Regus Express site at Meadowhall Shopping Centre, as the company rolls out its new range of drop-in work locations for mobile and flexible workers. There is already a Regus Express in the Staples superstore on Sheffield’s Eyre Street.

Regus’ growth and investment in Yorkshire is testament to increasing demand for flexible places to work that cater for today’s ever-more virtual, nomadic small businesses and distributed corporate teams.

John Spencer, UK CEO at Regus, commented: “Office workers no longer need to spend the whole week at the same desk, and millions of people now do their jobs at various locations. In this new world of work and mobile connectivity, convenience is key – people don’t want to waste fuel and time getting to a faraway office.

“By expanding the Regus network in Yorkshire, we’re providing local professionals with workspace and office facilities on their doorstep, close to the places where they live, shop, drive or take public transport.”

Regus The Balance is an impressive location for SMEs and start-ups looking to raise their profile. As well as enjoying the image boost of a presence at the well-known refurbished building, they can meet customers in a professional setting and network with other companies. Other tenants at The Balance include government bodies and a global law firm.

The business centre provides the full range of Regus services - a business lounge with private workstations (called Thinkpods), co-working space and complementary refreshments; private Day Offices; meeting rooms; professional reception and business support services; and part-time or full-time serviced offices.

Regus Express Meadowhall will feature similar services on a drop-in basis. Unlimited access to the business lounges within any of Regus’ 300 UK locations is priced at £35 per month (Businessworld Gold membership).
